Usage for Waterproofing Tape.
Waterproofing tape adheres tightly to the applied surface and helps to make the building waterproof, it creates a complete waterproofing system by being applied in the application areas.
What is the cause of common waterproofing failures?
Poor adhesion: Adhesion is the most critical attribute for waterproofing materials, when failure acures due to poor adhesion the waterproofing may sow signs of delamination, peeling and blistering.

Wet & Dry Surfaces
How to correct the condition: allow the area to dry thoroughy. Clean the surface using appropriate cleaner and water. Stained surfaces and substrates with tough to remove dirt can be scrubbed with wire brushes or cleaned with solvent.
Poor Contact
How to correct the condition: a roller can be used when applying the waterproofing tape, maximum contact improves bond strength.
Uneven Surface
How to correct to condition: such areas should be smoothed, fill gaps with sealant, caulking or other appropriate filer.

Wrinkles and Fishmouths:
A fishmouth develops when a wrinkle extends to the edge of a tape and leaves and opening at the edge. This opening is a direct pathway for water to travel under the tape and reach the spot that the user is attempting to seal. Wrinkles that do not extend to the edge of the tape do present a weak spot in the tape, they can trap air and moisture that may lead to bubbling or blistering in the future.
